What is Motherhood To You?

What is Motherhood To You?

I was recently sent the movie, “Motherhood” which stars Uma Thurman and after reviewing it I couldn’t help but recommend it to all my neighbors. To me this was a funny view of being a mom, but it had a lot of reality to it as well. I mean how many of us (moms or dads) have had those big dreams that we just put off to the side while raising the kids? Now we dont’ do this intentionally but… More »

Do Work-at-Home Moms Raise Unhealthy Kids?

Do Work-at-Home Moms Raise Unhealthy Kids?

An Australian report came out stating that mums (moms) that work-from-home or full-time are raising unhealthier children than those that work part-time. Australia recently did research on 4500 Australian preschoolers, they discovered that those that had moms that worked full-time or not out of the house ate more junkfood, the preschoolers that had moms working part-time seemed to eat less.

The report is called “Do Working Mothers Raise Couch Potato Kids?” and goes on to state those that had moms working… More »

Now I’m not entirely sure this would work, however there have been students that were able to get this pulled off in the past few years.  I do applaud the lawmakers for wanting to attempt to clean up the language issue and I hope it works.

A teenager named McKay Hatch of South Pasadena, introduced this very same… More »

A Graphic Video to Make You Buckle Up

A Graphic Video to Make You Buckle Up

Over the weekend we dealt with snow, ice and slush but ended up needing to leave town to get something. While on our drive we witnessed one crazy driver after another and three accidents, all before we got to our destination. I kept wishing that the sun would appear and melt everything that that we’d take an alternate route home where no other cars would be.

Instead on our way home we drove by more people that liked weaving in and… More »
