This herb cutter, from MoMA, is beautiful – and carries a heavy price tag of $120.
Designed by Jesper Ranum, made in Denmark, this herb cutter takes the concept of the mezzaluna (a curved chopping blade) and makes it into a new trendy item.
The herb cutter is made from mirror-polished stainless steel, with a beechwood board. It’s concave on both sides so you can be used for herbs but also things like nuts and chocolate.
The shape of the mortar is designed to make optimum use of the force of one hand, so it should be easy to grind spices. The mortar should also be easy to use for grinding herbs and garlic as for dried spices like cardamom, whole pepper, aniseed and cinnamon. – gadgetryblog
