Induction cooktops are marvelous to watch in action. Using magnetic fields instead of gas or electricy, they heat the pots and pans, but not the cooktop! They’re sort of like modern day magic to me
Up till now, you could only get an induction cooktop as a separate entity, but all that is about to change. Kenmore intends to roll out a new range this summer with this wonderful cooktop. But oy, the price! Expect to pay over $3000 for your own. Consumer Reports will have a review of it in their August 2009 issue.
