Superbowl Sunday Pistachio Pack Giveaway

I’ve got a new giveaway to offer you!

Do you like Pistachios? We love pistachios around my house and yesterday we got a very tasty package in the mail – a Super Bowl Sunday Pistachio Pack. I’ve got 5 of these Super Bowl packs to give away. Inside you’ll find two bags of pistachio nuts and a cute football-shaped serving dish.

Did you know that Pistachios are considered the “skinny nut?”  A serving size of Pistachios is 49 nuts, while a serving of Almonds is 23 nuts, and 14 Walnuts. That’s a much more satisfying snack, in my opinion. In addition, the process of removing the shell to get to the nut makes it a “mindful” snack – you can’t just scoop up a handful and toss it in your mouth. Eating mindfully means you can eat up to 50% less and still feel satisfied.

*Pistachios are the most nutrient dense nut
*A super food, pistachios have dense levels of 8 essential nutrients: thiamin, vitamin B6, copper, manganese, potassium, fiber, phosphorus, and magnesium (higher levels than both Almonds or Cashews)
*Has 20% of the daily recommended value of vitamin B6, equal to two servings of avocado
*Contains more antioxidants than one cup of green tea
*Offers more lutein than three medium tangerines or a glass of orange juice
*Pistachios contain mono unsaturated fats, the “good” fats” that can help lower total cholesterol
*Pistachios are a low glycemic index food
*Studies show that nut consumption is associated with a lower body mass index and do not increase body weight
