Symon Handling Stress

Chef Michael Symon has found himself pulling double duty.  After his win as The Next Iron Chef,Symon has been a part of several shows and has taken over hosting duties for Dinner Impossible after the Chef Irvine scandel rocked the stoves over at the Food Network.

He owns two restaurants, has his television duties and is preparing to open up a new patisserie, Bittersweet, to open in November of this year.

As he stated, it is good that he doesn’t have any hair to lose.  His life is busy, but he is loving every minute.  He is fortunate to be able to spend a majority of his time home in Ohio and overseeing his two restaurants, Lola and Lolita.

He is not only busy, but personally proud of Ohio and the culinary scene that continues to emerge.  He is working hard to get a new convention center in Cleveland so that the city has a chance to show off its wares.

From Ohio.com:

”I’ve always said for a city its size, its food scene is incredibly strong. I look at Pittsburgh and Minneapolis and they don’t have near the amount of independent chef-driven restaurants, that you could really put anywhere in the country. Clevelanders and people in Northeast Ohio are really blessed and finally, people are starting to recognize this.”

Symon is stumping for a new convention center in downtown Cleveland as the key to putting the city on the culinary map, because it would bring in a large influx of out-of-towners each week and show the rest of the country what Cleveland’s got.
