I saw this gadget on tv a few days ago and it took forever to find it online. This is because T-Fal has branded it under their Emerilware line. I’m not one to buy something with a celebrity chef endorsement, but I did think this was a great gadget.
The steamer allows for compartmentalized cooking. It has two baskets to steam vegetables separately, although you can remove them and steam all in one open area. There is an insert option for the top allows you to cook other foods, like fish. When compartmentalized, the juices don’t mix, so your food won’t all mingle. There is an exterior water refill – handy – and it comes with a rice bowl that fits into one of the steel baskets. The unit has a "keep warm" function as well.
The steamer works at 1400 Watts. It has a "turbo boost button" to quickly get to maximum steam levels.
