The G-Spout

The self-proclaimed best new product of the year is the G-Spout.  It snaps onto the side of your pan or bowl and allows you to pour with no dribbles or mess.  Clever.  I know there are other gadgets that do the same, but I like the construction of this one…at least what I can see of it.

The G-Spout’s biggest claim to fame that I can see is that it allows you to easily drain off the grease when you’re cooking, preventing the drips from spilling on you or your cooktop.  It’s got a strainer feature that holds back your solids while you’re doing this.

The health benefits of straining off the fat are obvious.  You can also use it for pouring batter for treats like pancakes and muffins.  The site says that it snaps on easily with one hand, so even if you forget to put it on ahead of time, you can still get it done at the last moment.

There’s a little video at the website so you can see how it works.  About $13.
