Thermometer Whisk

jyg_1

Sometimes you find something and wonder how it was never developed before. Well, this fits that bill. It’s a whisk with a thermometer built in. Perfect for those finicky recipes that involve things like slowly boiling milk. Anything that is temperature sensitive.

Cooking custards, tempering chocolate and working with other temperature-sensitive ingredients can be tricky: if heated too quickly, they can curdle or scorch. And juggling both a whisk and a thermometer is awkward. This stainless-steel whisk solves the problem. As you stir, an LCD display on its handle gives a constant temperature reading in either Fahrenheit (40° to 400°F) or Celsius. Uses one battery (included). 11″ long.

Available at Williams-Sonoma for $25
