Bloody show: Some women get upset when they have “bloody show” because they aren’t expecting it and don’t realize what it is. When a woman is pregnant, the cervix is plugged with mucus in order to protect the baby. As a woman gets ready to deliver, the mucus plug, as it’s called, releases and is passed through the vagina. Sometimes, there is some blood in the mucus and this is what is the bloody show.
