Fruitful Sex Life = Fountain of Youth?

fn20071126dad.JPGRemember when we learned that there seems to be a connection between deep voices and male fertility? Well, it now seems that there is a correlation between your number of spawn and number of years that you live. At least for men. World War I Draft Registration Cards have just become readily available to the public and it seems that folks are flocking to them as sources for all kinds of demographic and historic analyses. Here’s one:

Research, based largely on data from World War I draft cards, suggests that keeping off excess weight in youth, farming and fathering a large number of offspring all help men live past a century.

Of course, there are factors to consider. Perhaps fertility was just an indicator of an overall healthy lifestyle that would naturally allow men to live longer. Perhaps support given by offspring allowed men to age better than those living alone or unsupported.

Fruitful sex life = fountain of youth? There has been no such study done on women as of yet. Ladies? Any volunteers?
