With the economy and healthcare system in the state it is right now, many workers are sticking with jobs that offer health insurance. I can say that this has always been the case for me. I had jobs I absolutely despised, but with Type 1 diabetes I have needed health insurance since I was very young. So if I didn’t like a job or worked under poor conditions, I had to either stay there or stick it out until I could find something else.
Now, with the economy, it’s hard to find something else. So many workers are simply sticking with a job for the health benefits alone. So many employers off poor health insurance, that if you’ve got a job with decent benefits you’re more apt to stay.
