Jones topped the scales at 307. Around her 40th birthday, she realized that she was out of control and decided it was time to do something about it.
In the fall of 2003, Star Jones decided to have gastric bypass surgery. But the gastric bypass surgery alone wasn’t enough to help Jones. She realized that her destructive behavior had to do with a lot more than just eating too much of the wrong foods. Jones sought the help of a therapist and learned to heal herself from the inside out.
