Mental Health 101: Even If It's Not Your Major

Parents throughout America suddenly become several thousand dollars poorer. Novices hug during tearful goodbyes while veterans throw out nonchalant calls of “See ya.” Young adults develop a serious respect for Ramen Noodles and anyone who’s not tail-gating bright and earlier each Saturday may as well drop out now.

It could all mean only one thing:

Yes, colleges and universities across the nation have started their fall semesters.

In the sub-universe of kegs, pigskin, pledging, and all-nighters, many students experience mental health problems. Maybe it’s just a bout of separation anxiety, or maybe it’s longtime undiagnosed bipolar disorder.

Sadly, many students are embarrassed to admit how they feel. They tell themselves to shake it off, to fit in with the rest of the crowd, and to wait until the weekend when they can binge drink their worries away, i.e. self-medicate.

Luckily, Revolution Health is on top of the game with the Revolution Online College Mental Health Fair.

The Fair features virtual booths from 12 well-known and well-respected mental health agencies throughout American, including the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), and Mental Health American (MHA).

College and university students enjoy the online mental health fair because it gives them a chance to get their feet wet and shake off some nerves before heading to their own doctor’s or campus Student Services.

So, go ahead – fire up that hand-me-down PC your older college graduate brother was kind enough to dump on you and find out what the Revolution Online College Mental Health Fair has to offer you.
