More Gadget for your morning: Nike+iPod Sport Kit ships today

Nike+iPod

OK, so two iPods posts in a row, bleh. But this is really cool…

So, you buy a Nike shoe branded Nike+, which means it was designed to accomodate the iPod Sport Kit sensor. Then you plug the other doo-hickey into your iPod Nano. The sensor in your shoe turns your iPod into a run computer capable of tracking steps, mileage, calorie burn, pace and time. It can also do all the other stuff it was already doing, like play music and store other files. Then you can upload said info to your computer and make pretty charts that no one else will ever want to look at.Nike introduced two new models to go along with this scheme to dominate all things running and electronic: the Air Zoom Moire+ and the Air Zoom+. The Nike+iPod Sport Kit is shipping now.

This is neat-o implementation of technology, but my problem would be that I want an Asics 2100+. I wonder how cutting a small pocket to stick that thing in would affect the ride of my running shoes…
