Rediclinic at Walmart Supercenters

Wal-MartSupercenterWalmart Supercenter is the one-stop shop for groceries, clothes, remittance money transfers, hair cuts, fast foods.

And now… healthcare clinic.

RediClinic LLC has recently opened nine convenient healthcare clinics in leased space in Richmond, Virginia, to offer in-store consumers easy access to routine healthcare services.

The clinics are staffed by certified nurse practitioners who work with local physicians to diagnose, treat and prescribe medications for common conditions such as earaches, strep throat and upper respiratory infections, in addition to preventive services, screening tests, vaccinations and physical exams.

When I checked the RediClinic website, there are already Walmart clinics in Northwest Arkansas and Tulsa Oklahoma.

I guess that’s one more reason to shop at Walmart. :-)

I’m a contractor for RediClinic’s health fair division. I do screenings at retail locations. THIS has to be the best thing to come along since the super store. Now we’ll be able to provide basic health care at a reasonable price, and I’m already seeing a great response just from people I’ve spoken to on the street. Here in Atlanta, this will go over quite well, given the number of Wal-Marts we have, two in my city alone.

I do think we should expand into the outlying parts of the metro, because that’s yet another market waiting to be tapped. And I know a few hot spots !

Even in my own life, it’s quite difficult to see my regular doctor the same day. But with places like RediClinic, one can be in and out in short order, often with prescription in hand.

Let’s look at it this way: Groceries, clothing, shoes, tires and oil, gardening, hair and nail salons, pharmacy, and now a clinic…all under one roof. THAT’S convenience !!!
