Many couples are chronicling their path to the alter with a wedding blog these days. Why would you want to have a wedding blog?
A wedding blog can be a great way to keep your friends and family posted on how the wedding is progressing. It can be great if you live out of town, or have out of town relatives and friends.
Wedding blogs aren’t for everyone. If you don’t think you’ll have time to keep it up, or if you don’t want everyone to know the details of your wedding you don’t have to post it for all the world to see.
There are websites that run blogs that are specifically for the future bride and groom, but you don’t have to pay for anything fancy to have your own wedding blog. In fact you don’t have to pay anything at all. There are several free blogging platforms out there, and with a little customization they can work great for your wedding blog.
You can set up a blog at Blogger, Typepad, or at Wordpress for little or no cost. You can also keep track of your wedding progress on MySpace or Facebook to share with your family and friends.
Most blog platforms give you an option of setting a password or keeping your blog posts private. If you only want certain people to see your wedding details you can set up these extra screens.
A wedding blog can be a simple way to keep everyone posted and up to date on your progress to the wedding aisle.
