We jump at the chance to pet-sit. You get all the perks of having an adorable, cuddly friend – but it’s temporary. No vet bills or house training necessary. But sometimes pet owners can be a little fanatical about routines and rituals they take part in with their pet. An article from MSNBC details some of the stranger requests made of pet sitters:
- A woman requested that her dogs be allowed to watch Oprah at 4 p.m. every day.
- A person asked if the sitter would allow the dog to lick her feet prior to sleeping.
- Someone said that her dog was afraid of tall, skinny objects.
- One owner requested that holy water and ash be mixed with her cat’s food, and then prayed over.
