Sexy.
It’s so much more than body weight. It’s about confidence, style, personality… but I suppose I’d be stupid to think that it wasn’t at least a little bit about how we appear, too.
Tonight, I’m pondering why some people find malnourished, emaciated bodies to be sexy whereas others find such figures to be disturbing. Why are the pro-ana girls and guys awestruck by boniness? Why do other people find plump (or even quite overweight) men and women to be “hot”?
Personally, I think that fit bodies — muscular, but not overly so – are very sexy. Someone who looks like he or she could handle a hiking or biking afternoon seems strong and in control.
My questions to you are:
- What do you find sexy?
- And if you were/are anorexic, did/do you feel sexy in spite of or because of your body shape?
Personally, I do not feel sexy now nor did I feel sexy at my thinnest. Ironically, I feel most attractive when I am on stage performing (one of my occupations is a part-time actor and acting instructor). I suppose I can pretend I’m sexy there?

I think you find yourself sexy on stage b/c you are truly confident in your acting abilities.
being sexy refers to a feeling that we are capable of anything we’d like to do.
What I feel sexy?
I like when a body is muscular, but lean.
When it can walk or bike for hours without artificial help.
Also, strangely, some voices have their sex appeal on me…
What’s your take on lovely voices, A.?
