Prince William and Kate Middleton are finally getting hitched, according to announcements today by the British royal family. Their wedding, which is expected to happen in spring or summer 2011, will be the biggest royal wedding since Charles and Diana’s fairy-tale ceremony in 1981, and is expected to be one of the most widely-watched television events in years. According to officials at Clarence House, the couple, both 28, got engaged last month while on a trip to Kenya, when Prince William gave Middleton his mother’s sapphire and diamond engagement ring.
The royal engagement has sparked a wildfire of media reports, and has us contemplating the past and future of their relationship. The couple met in September 2001 at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, from which they both graduated in 2005. It’s unclear exactly when their relationship began, but suspicions peg it around 2003 (when they were around 23). They broke up briefly in 2007, but were reportedly back together within months. That means both William and Middleton will have spent the larger part of their 20s together before marriage. That’s a long time.
Plenty of college sweethearts stay together and live happily ever after. Then again, plenty of college sweethearts break up, or get married and divorced and wish they’d taken time to date other people. Some experts claim that “taking a break,” as Prince William and Middleton did, helps to ensure the long-term success of a relationship, while others believe that it’s best to stay single your 20s before you settle down. We’re not sure what’s best for whom, but both options seem more popular (or at least more common) among people we know.

Prince William should NEVER marry. Although he is human and has all
the right to do so, he is a PUBLIC FIGURE who has charmed a handful
of the women of today’s generation. Marrying one lady would
break the hearts of the world’s women who have admired him.
Prince William should just have girlfriends but NEVER a serious
relationship with just one woman. Given the fact that he is a WELL-ADMIRED
PUBLIC FIGURE that settling down with just one woman would break a handful
worldwide, Prince William SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE SHARED
by many of this world’s women who are interested in him, and not just monopolized by
one woman.

We have not been told what sort of friendship they both embarked on, was it just ordinary friendship or deep platonic lovers?. The most important thing in marriage is love and understanding. if they both love each other, their married will have no limit, it will be for ever, nothing can put it asunder.
