A Kiss is Still a Kiss...

Over the weekend I read an interesting article about kissing. The link leads to a very similar one. For some reason I can’t find the one I actually read. There’s more here if you need to know How Kissing Works, too. But the whole kissing thing has stayed on my mind. Perhaps it’s the afterglow of Valentine’s Day?

Spend some time writing in your journal about what kissing means to you. Do you & your partner still kiss? Why or why not? Do you kiss your children, even if they’re now grown ups? Would you kiss a complete stranger? Do you enjoy being kissed? List the different kinds of kisses. Create a visual journal page about kissing and then write a reaction to the images on the next page. What kissing customs do you struggle with in your family or culture? Do you think we should be kissing more than we already are?

I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please make any comments in the section below.

Definitely yes, everyone should be kissing more. It relieves stress, feels good and you’ll find thousands of good things written everywhere about kissing.

    Hi Jean,
Yes, I think more people, especially like the ones in the photo, should be seen kissing. Thanks for the comment. ;-)

    Hi Cyndi,
Lol, it probably was the same article. It was certainly interesting. He’d better not make too much of a science out of the kissing thing, though. Thanks for the comment. ;-)

I think it is very romantic to see a couple kissing in public, especially a mature couple and you can tell his been together for years. High school style make out sessions in public, however are different issue.

Thank you for the romantic prompt, Heather! My husband just told me about a kind of icky science article that he read on kissing (maybe it’s the same one!), and I told him that he was starting down a dangerous path LOL!
