Ah, Fall, when a woman's thoughts turn to... VOTING

Seems as though 20 million single I voted!women have no right to complain about the State of the Union. They didn’t vote.

Can you imagine the clout behind an organized group of 20 million disenchanted voters finally getting angry enough to want to change a couple of things down there at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? Want better healthcare, safer schools, stronger Social Security, better personal freedoms? Want to stop the politician who is trampling your rights to free speech, the right to gather, the right to make intelligent choices? Then get up and vote. It’s easy.

Lisa Stone writes a great piece about the sad state of women’s uninvolvement in politics over at www.surfette.com; I suggest you read it and then get out and get registered to vote! To make it an absolute no-brainer, I’ve re-posted the information that Lisa provides on her site here for your clickable pleasure:

I’m off to register to vote in this year’s elections. How about you?

Um. Well, Lisa, if you’re happy with the way things are, you have two choices: you can sit back and ignore the political process or you can vote to keep the status quo.

I don’t believe in feminism. Single mom due to the feminism that has destroyed men…..Looks like I have a higher IQ too because there is good healthcare for all who ask for it, free speech is fine, social security would be fine if we privatized it, and schools are just a symptom of the society of disrespectful kids we have created…

Well done, Solomother! I will be rounding up the suspects on my way to the booth. Thanks for the shoutout on my blog!

I have to see if I am still registered to vote in DC. I think I have my voter’s registration card.

It’s amazing the amount of people who don’t vote, then turn around and complain.

Alas, I believe you are too late to be elegible to vote in the upcoming midterm elections, but you’ll be all set for the spring primaries.
