The Everly Brothers and a bear clan; those are the inspirations that Anthony Kiedis and partner Heather Christie used to name their new son, Everly Bear. Kiedis told People Magazine that they narrowed down from a long list of names, but somehow I think there was probably no overlap with the list of baby names my wife and I are compiling.
Kiedis , the Red Hot Chili Peppers front man’s, and Christie gave birth to their first child on October 2 in LA.

I don’t think Everly is bad, but I don’t like Bear.
Hi everyone,
I like different names as well, but with a bit of tradition. In light of many other celebrity names, Everly is not bad at all!
Bill
I like names that are a bit different from the norm.
Hmmm….I don’t know what to think. Part of me likes unique names (we chose Cian, a celtic name, for our son’s middle name) but I also don’t want to name my child something that he will be made fun of for.
I have a unique name too, but at least it was not one that people could very easily make fun of! I guess Everly Bear is better than the other way around! You don’t see any celebrities naming their kids Michael or Jennifer anymore!
I saw this earlier today on a celebrity baby blog site. I don’t get the whole name your kids weird names thing that is going on. When I was a kid I didn’t like my name either. I was the only person with my name. I now know about 3 people with my name. I really like my name now and the fact that it isn’t as common of a name.
I swear celebrities make up horrible names for their kids just to get mention in the news. I feel sorry for the kids that not only have to grow up with famous parents, but also live with these names for the rest of their lives.
What a unique name! Not sure if it would be one that I would use, but I like it nonetheless! Thanks for the chance to win!
