One interesting point Sue Kim and Ann McGuire, the color trend experts from Valspar, mentioned during our recent interview was that the important thing is not chasing color trends. It is using color trends to help you make your house into a home for you and your family.
Ann – “Trends are really great to keep up with but when it comes to your home, it is more important to choose colors you love than to keep up with fashion.
Your home is about creating the world that you live in.”
Sue – “You’re telling the story about your family based on the color and atmosphere you created. It isn’t so much the trend, although trends do influence your selection. At home, it is the little story you create within your environment. Your personal story you create with the trend tell your perfect story.”
Ann – “Trends are important because when you go shopping for accessories, you need to know what’s out there.”
I love that these experts took the time to emphasize that trends are nice, but that chasing trends to make sure you have the newest, hottest home decor ideas isn’t what it is all about. Instead, they pointed out that trends help us create the looks that we love and tracking trends enables us to easily find the accessories we want.

I agree that the color of the interior of your house and even the exterior of your house greatly compliments the mood and the ambiance. So everyone who visits your home gets to have an idea of your personality and somehow gives an impression of the owner.Personally I like bright and cheerful colors like yellow, orange, yellow green, and subtle colors like palette and cream.!
