Cranesbill Geraniums

Cranesbill is a hardy geranium that comes back year after year. It’s an easy growing plant that doesn’t mind sun or partial shade. Plant it in well drained soil, and it will grow without much fuss.

Cranesbill geranium

I’m a huge geranium fan, so of course I have to have Cranesbill in my flower garden. It’s one of my favorite perennials, because it will bloom for most of the summer. Cranesbill blooms the heaviest in late Spring, but the blooms will continue long into the summer.

Since it grows in a large clump I use my Cranesbill as a ground cover, even when it’s not blooming the foliage adds interest to the summer garden.

love these, they spread, too! I ‘ve got a nice blue and pink in my garden, as well. Can’t ever have too many easy and beautiful perennials!
