Creative Ways to Score Your Bags

By “score,” I mean make or upcycle or recycle or reclaim or reuse.

However you want to say it or make it, there are lots of materials around for creating your own bags. A really sturdy fabric you might consider is denim. Crafting a Green World gives you directions in DIY: Upcycle Old Denim into Market Tote.

old-jeans-tote.jpgIf you’d like your bag to have a wooden handle, Noreen at Hankering for Yarn shows you how in Recycled Wood Bag Handles.

You can always make a morsbag from an old sheet or curtains! Visit morsbags.com for instructions.

I never knew bird seed bags could be so gorgeous, but take a look at the bag Stephee from Curbly made! Directions are provided.

Finally, how about a Two-Hour Tote Bag? CraftStylish shows you how.

If you’ve made your own bags, please send us photos at peggy.rowland (at) b5media.com or jennifer.chait (at) b5media.com.
