Did you get your kitty a Christmas stocking?

My older sister, who lives several states away, asked me over the phone on Christmas day, “Did you get your cat a stocking?”

I had to say no. “You didn’t?!?” was the response. She added that she got both her cats a stocking full of goodies. My brother-in-law made his doggy a stocking full of goodies too.

Hmm. All Choco received was a special dinner: some wet turkey cat food.

As I was opening gifts at my parents’ house, I noticed one that said it was to Peggy, Michael and Choco. I had no idea what it might be. I guessed it was perhaps cat grass seed, but guess what?

It was a stocking!

I suppose next year Choco’s stocking will be hung by the chimney with care.

Do you get your kitty a stocking? If so, what did you put inside?

    Christine,

Glad to have a new blog fan. Your cat sounds much like mine — ignores toys and goes for the cardboard box.

Just found your blog and I enjoy it very much. For the first time this year, my husband, myself and my cat got a Christmas stocking. I put a few kitty treats, a light up ball (which didn’t work when we opened it) and a catnip santa in my cat’s. She loves the treats..not so much into the toys.. she enjoyed getting into an empty Macy’s box from a package much more…
