Do time draining tasks all at once to save time

Some bigger tasks, or tasks that happen frequently can be accomplished in bulk – as in do more than the bare minimum, to save more time in the long run.

4 ideas…

Buy every single greeting card you’ll need all year, at one time. Make a list of all the birthdays and holidays you know of during the year, and spend one good afternoon choosing them all. Bonus points if you go sans cards and simply send digital greetings – not AS BIG a time saver, but no driving to the store and it’s a nice eco-friendly choice.

Make all the dinners for one week or one month (go you) on one weekend day. Chop, cook, freeze, wash all the pots, then just heat and eat.

Shop for all your groceries once a month. Only go in between big trips for fresh veggies and fruit.

Pay all your monthly bills one one day, not as they come. Pay online for even more time saving.

Shower for the whole week on Sunday – just kidding! Just making sure you’re awake :)

What other time consuming tasks can you do all at once to save time?

Great tips … especially the one about grocery shopping once a month. I tend to make waaayy too many trips to the grocery store.

Brilliant ideas! I especially like the one about buying all your cards all at once…I have not thought of this and can see how it can be a time-saver and stress-reliever!

On Sundays I do all of our laundry. I know a lot of people find it overwhelming, but it’s easier for me to do load after load and just toss them all on the bed. Then at the enjd of the day I fold everything and put it all away at once. Clean clothes for the entire week!
