Earth Day 2008 (every April 22) – I watched National Geographic Channel and I’ve been alarmed by some of the things happening like the melting of the ice in the polar ice caps. I wished a lot of people are watching NGC just to be aware of what’s happening. Life passes by so fast. We go to work, go home do chores, get emerged into our daily schedule and we don’t really sit back and see what we humans have done to the Earth.
On the lighter side, I really enjoyed watching those “green cars”. I’m fond of hybrids and electric vehicles, and even hydrogen cars. Unfortunately these are not yet mass produced like their petrol powered cousins. One of my favorite programs, “I didn’t know that” tested about 4 different green cars for speed and endurance. For speed, the winner is the hybrid car. For endurance, the electric car. The electric car however was last for the speed. However, if i were to choose, for daily use to/from office, supermarket and local places, I’d go for the electric car.
