Fall Harvest Backyard Displays

Yesterday I showed you some fall floral harvest displays, and centerpiece arrangements. Today I want to give you some fall harvest display ideas.

Here are some ideas for items to include in your fall harvest displays:

  • A bale of hay or straw
  • Scarecrows
  • corn stalks
  • ears of field corn, Indian corn, or decorative popcorn
  • Sunflowers
  • wheat bunches
  • seed pods
  • pumpkins
  • mums
  • dahlias
  • daisies
  • cattails
  • winter squash
  • gourds
  • coleus
  • decorative grasses
  • fall leaves
  • hedge apples

You can use wheelbarrows, barrels, straw bales, and other items to arrange on or around. Check out these displays for additional inspiration.

Any of these displays would add a touch of fall to your yard or garden. Fall displays can be large or small, depending on how much room you have, and how much you have to add to them.

Anthony, Hah! You’d probably have to empty the the water if it was a heavy rain.

If the only purpose of the wheelbarrow was your fall display you could poke some drainage holes in the bottom.

Our old rusty wheelbarrow has it’s own pre-formed drainage holes:)

Wow, those look great. I like the wheel barrow idea but what about the rain? Won’t it fill up with water and soak my plants, pumpkins, etc.
