‘Fracking’ Continues to Contaminate Drinking Water

Remember Gasland? The documentary about natural gas drilling that premiered on HBO this summer had memorable footage of a man lighting his tap water on fire. Fracking, as hydraulic fracturing is known, is continuing to contaminate drinking water with methane gas, making the water undrinkable.

Despite rural Pennsylvania residents’ complaints, Cabot Oil & Gas (the company behind the drilling) denies any contamination. Check out the CNN video below — looks pretty contaminated to us.
