Oh no, it shows whatever age your nursling is! If your nursling is 1 year 5 months, the banner would go up to age 2, and if your nursling were 2 years 1 month it would go up to age 3 etc. The icon I chose is actually meant to be a toddler.
There are also fun pregnancy, birthday and adoption banners. You can count down to your next vacation, too. All sorts of fun options!
