Is it just me, or are scarves really hot right now? (A play on words there, forgive me.) Scarves are a great gift idea for others, they are great to donate to homeless shelters or soup kitchens, they are great for yourself, and they are a wonderfully easy project to complete. Any way you look at it, scarves rock. Best of all, there are plenty of free scarf patterns all around the web. Here are just a few.

Lace Scarf
This pattern from Crochet Magazine adds a nice look to the scarf. It’s a bit dainty, but still warm and useful.
Blossom Festival Scarf
This pattern is fun and versatile. You can create this for just about any age woman.
Paradores Infinity Scarf
Talk about a unique pattern! This one provides warmth and style.
Snake Scarf
Very cute project for the young lad in your life.
Himalaya Silk Lace Scarf
A very pretty open weave design. Perfect for someone that just wants to add some color to their outfit, but practical enough to provide a little warmth.
Winter Scarf Set
These patterns cover a scarf, hat, and headband. A perfect set!
Breast Cancer Awareness Scarf
This pattern is perfect to wear anytime, but especially throughout the month of October when the world recognizes breast cancer awareness. The ribbons done as a pattern in the scarf are a wonderful touch.
Scarf Puppy Dog
A bit silly perhaps? Not for the little girl in your life. She will love this one!
Round in Circles Scarf
This fabulous pattern reminds me of 1920s design.
Ruffle Scarf
Stylish and incredibly easy to do.
