Louis Sachar’s best known novel, Holes, celebrates it’s 10th anniversary. It is one of my favorite books and movies because of it’s wit, foreshadowing, and symbolism.

    Often when I’m substitute teaching, I’ll work with a class that’s reading Holes. It seems to be one of the popular novels in 5th-6th grade.
