High in a closet, tucked away in a box, are our Christmas books. I took them down on the first of December, but alas, I haven’t been home for bedtime much of this week. We’ll start reading them this weekend, and I will space them out so that we read a very special book on Christmas Eve…
Robert Sabuda’s amazing paper artistry make Clement Clarke Moore’s “The Night Before Christmas” an amazing tale all over again.
We’ll dip into our stash of Christmas stories, and next week we will run up to our neighbors’ home to light a candle and celebrate the first nights of Chanukah. We’ll read Zigazak! A Magical Hannukah Night by Eric A. Kimmel, illustrated with humor and artistry by Jon Goodell. Because who doesn’t like a great story about magical mischief and wise Rabbis who turn the table on their uninvited guests?
What are your favorite kids’ books during this holiday season?
