    That is a great animation! And fun to watch. Unfortunately, even though it shows the basics of the stitch, it really doesn’t show how the machine works. Watch carefully and you will see the top thread form a loop, which the entire bobbin passes through. Real machines have an axle sticking into the back of the bobbin, no way to pass the loop around like that. If you can make an animation where no threads go around the back side of the bobbin, then you will really be able to show how a sewing machine works. I am searching for answers, when i figure it out I’ll post it here.
