I hear it all the time…in fact I say it.
“We’re getting a baby.” It’s weird saying it but sometimes it seems so much easier to say than”we’re adopting a baby”.
But is it PC?

How Does One "Get" a Baby?

I don’t think it is PC, however, it is exactly what happens: one receives a baby from someone/somewhere else after doing something to have that baby. Once you “get” the baby, the baby is yours the same way a biological child would be: the responsibility to raise him well, to love him, to nurture him are all yours.
