It's National Volunteer Week!

Earth Day is officially over. 1-800-volunteer.orgArbor Day is so last Friday (technically). But National Volunteer Week is just beginning.

What can you do to connect science, health and the environment near you? Go to www.1-800-volunteer.org to find out.

A quick search of volunteer opportunities within a 10 mile radius of my own neighborhood brought up 3 pages of results! See for yourself. You can specify your areas of interest and expertise – health and the environment are among the choices.

Have fun!
