One of my all-time favorite posts from readers has got to be the free pattern to sew your own Snuggie, Slanket or Snuglet.
Now that fall is just around the corner, I’m starting to get a lot of requests for the pattern again – especially in children’s sizes. You can certainly grade the pattern down to a kid’s size, but not everyone wants to get out their rulers before they can start sewing.
McCalls has come out with a pattern to make your own fleece blanket with sleeves.
The pattern is available in three different sizes, and while I don’t think the smallest size will fit a toddler or small child, at 60 inches (5 feet long) it’s definitely smaller than an adult size. The pattern also has a pocket, handy for tucking all kinds of things into
So if you’d like to sew a fleece Snuggie for someone special this fall (or start thinking about presents…) here’s an easy pattern to get you started.
