My Black Friday

I had a ball this year for Black Friday but didn’t really find any good sales.  Aeropostale had their store on sale for 50% off everything.  Other than that, there were just specific deals, usually on electronics, and if you weren’t looking for those, you were out of luck.  I will say that I didn’t stand in line for more than 20 minutes this year again.  This was a feat in and of itself since I was insane and went to Target at 6 am.  NOT by my choice!

I do want to thank my DH and BIL for watching the kids all day while we went shopping.  I had around 30 people on my list and I ended up spending around $400.  That says a lot since three of my gifts totalled $150.  We had $50 limits on some.

How about you?  How did you do?

  2. I didn’t go shopping this year. It seems every few years there just isn’t anything to lure me out there. This year was that year for me.

My wife also went out and about, getting to WalMart at 5am. She spent roughly $450 I think, don’t remember exact numbers right now though.

She got home around 5pm that night, she was tired but more cold than anything else. There weren’t any great deals but several things she saved a lot on.

You actually braved Black Friday!! Not me! We live in small town and all the stores were jam packed. It would have been insane for me to try to do that. That and I was sick. Not a good combo. Glad you got what you needed!
