Plan A Garden Swap Party

iStock 000002119268XSmall Plant swap, garden swapThis spring get together with friends and have a garden (or plant) swap. Have everyone bring at least two things they have an over-abundance of to swap for things they may need in their own garden.

Some people may be better at saving seeds, others may have too many of some types of perennials, or they may have planted too many tomato seedlings. When you get together and swap everyone wins.

Besides swapping seeds and plants you can also swap garden recipes and stories. Make a garden swapping party out of it and have everyone bring their favorite garden dish or dessert, and the recipe to trade and share.

Gardeners always like to tell stories and share great photos. After everyone is done trading, settle in with a cup of herbal tea and talk about your plans for the new gardening season.

I really like this idea. I’m going to have to bring it up to our MOMS Club.

What a neat idea! I love it! Hmmm, wonder who I could invite to one?
