Rose Wall Basket

We all have favorites. I’m sure that just by looking at the crafts that I make you can tell that my favorite flower is a rose. I think I have some type of a rose decoration in almost every room in my house. Now, I have another craft that I think you’ll like, and of course, I made it with roses.

Kathy Zengolewicz

Here is what you will need to get started:

  • A flat grapevine basket
  • Floral foam
  • Two sprigs of artificial baby’s breath
  • Two small to medium sized rose bushes (the rose is small to medium, not the bush)
  • Floral moss
  • Floral wire
  • Two bushes of small leaf greens
  • Brown floral tape (optional)
  • A glue gun and glue sticks
  • A pair of wire cutters
  • A craft knife

You may need to cut the floral foam to fit it to the basket. Insert the foam into the basket. Fill the basket to just under the rim. When you buy your flower bushes, roses and baby’s breath, they will need to be cut down a little. Separate the baby’s breath by two and three pieces. You can separate your rose one per stem or two per stem.

Fill the back of the flower pot with a few sprigs of the baby’s breath and start arranging the roses and the baby’s breath to fill the basket. You can start the roses in the center of the basket and place the greens around them and the baby’s breath.

You can also put small bows on the front of your basket, but don’t over do decorating the basket, you don’t want to take away from the beauty of the flowers.

Another idea is to use bright and colorful flowers in the spring and make a mix of color. Make a basket filled with wildflowers for an intense explosion of color. Enjoy!
