I got caught short. It started to snow today, and all of a sudden I realized: I lived in the desert for two years. I don’t have shovels, rock salt, snow shoes or good clothes. the kid’s wearing suede shoes, and i’ve got slides on.
And I’m the one who has to shovel the walk.
At least there’s a husband around the corner I can borrow every once in a while… so I walked over there to borrow a cup of rock salt.
Time for cocoa.

Madame, you make me laugh.
In a good way.
Angel, I couldn’t believe it. Snow. It was as if I’d never seen the stuff before. *palmforehead*
No worries– my husband didn’t even think about shoveling the walk. We were even making fun of the neighbors who did– until we thanked them this morning ;o)
Those silly Californians…
