A week ago, I slipped into the Cafetorium at my son’s school, just in time to watch his class play air guitar and surf on paper surfboards to the Beach Boys as part of their Field Day celebrations. The kids were a hoot, and the audience clapped and laughed and sang along to “Surfin’ USA”, and got an eyeful of two dozen six year olds air drumming to “Wipeout”. Good times.
My son sat on my lap to watch the other classes perform. As one group got ready to perform, a teacher put Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” on the stereo, and to my delight, about half the school’s young population started singing along.
I’ve had that song stuck in my head for a week now, and I’m not complaining. It’s a good thing, too, because I got a tetanus booster today and my arm is killing me, but ‘every little thing’s gonna be alright!”
I thought my single mother and father friends out there could use a lovely reminder to surrender. Don’t worry about a thing. Cause every little thing, is gonna be all right.

Thank you so much for this. I was looking for songs that would somehow make my friend to be strong, now that she’s going to be a single mom. (^_~)
Have you heard the version sung by Marley’s mom? It’s great.
that is great! I bet the kids were a Show!
Love it!
