Most of the “return to work” articles refer to stay at home mothers, but, MSNBC has an article, Return to work is not easy for stay-at-home dads.
It explores the fact that, because of societal expecations, it may be harder for dads than moms returning to work:
Men have the added problem of trying to return to work in a society that just doesn’t get why they made the decision to leave a budding career in the first place.
Most of the time, I think that working parent issues are the same for either parent, but, I think this may be one that’s harder for the fathers out there.
Do any of you have any experience as a dad who returned to work after staying home with kids?
