The Simple Woman's Daybook -Sept 8

 simple Woman’s Day book

Welcome to another week!

I hope that your weekend was incredible.  The weather is definitely cooling off here, very odd for Texas this time of year but I am not complaining!

For more Daybook entries head over to The Simple Woman.  It is a great way tocheck out new blogs. :)

Here are my thoughts for today.

Outside my Window …golden morning light is filtering through the trees.  There is not even the hint of a breeze and everything is still.

I am thinking…I need to grocery shop.  The pantry really is nearly bare.

From the learning rooms…nothing really new..We are working to get Nick reading.

I am thankful for…the cookbook is done!

From the kitchen…Whole wheat raisin and pecan muffins in the oven..they are smelling good about now.

I am wearing…red satin pajamas

I am reading…my vintage cookbooks

I am hoping…to get my advance from the publisher SOON.

I am creating…a new venture

I am hearing..Quiet…with a few shots in the distance…the kids are still asleep..and it must be dove season?

Around the house...too much to do.

One of my favorite things…pumpkin lattes

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…Take Marc to the VA tomorrow, research some articles I am writing…

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

One of our bucklings from this year…he is about to go to a new home.. :)

Those muffins must smell good! Thanks for your comment on my post. I am finding very good information in the book I am reading ‘Americas Cheapest Family’. It is a very dry read though. I recommend 1 to 2 chapters a day at the most.

Hi Marye! Nice to check in with you again and read your Daybook. You sound so cozy there in your red satin jammies, with muffins in the oven, and reading your vintage cookbooks. Of course, that was yesterday! But anyway, I hope your whole week is just as peaceful. I’m off to check out that pumpkin latte recipe! Take care. :)

Well Zoe, I hope that you get them..I wanted some for the longest time! Now I feel like Lauren Bacall…unfortunatly I don;t look like her…and I only sound like her when I have a cold.

Judi! Always a pleasure to see you.

Oh the muffins are easy! any sweet muffin recipe should do, substitute whole wheat flour for the flour and add a handful of raisins, some cinnamon, and some pecans.
