Do you know that trick? It’s a great way to get things done.
Every morning, make a list of seven things to get done. Anyone out there who has ever suffered from depression knows that sometimes, it’s perfectly ok to put “Get out of bed” “brush teeth” “get dressed” on your list of seven things to do.
But think of what those seven things could be–from “Fold all the laundry and put it away” to “finish that multi-million dollar proposal”.
The trick is, you have to get all seven done that day. Give it a shot. You’ll have an amazing sense of accomplishment at the end of the day, and you only bite off as much as you can chew.

Amithyst, the seven things trick is great for getting around the blues. Sometimes, my list does look like a check list at the psych ward… shower. brush teeth. get dressed. eat. smile.
Good idea!! I’m dreading the winter and the potential for the return of the brushing-my-teeth-is-a-big-accomplishment days.
