The Luce Foundation Center for American Art has a fabulous jewelry collection. The Luce is one of the less well-known of the Smithsonian Museum family. This is slightly different from what we normally think of as “bead embroidery”. Embroidery with beads uses small seed beads to create traditional embroidery stitches that you would normally do with embroidery floss.
