I’ve been covering destination wedding venues the last several days, and I have several more beautiful locations to show you in the next few weeks. One thing you should send out if you’re planning a destination wedding is a save the date card. A save the date card can let your wedding guests know several months in advance when your wedding will take place.

If you’re planning a destination wedding, and you want your family and friends there, then you should definitely send out a save the date card early enough they can plan to take a few days off to attend your wedding. The same is true for out of town guests, even if your wedding is local.

You don’t always need to use a save the date card when you’re planning to get married. There are some occasions when it would be good to use a save the date card to let guests know several months ahead of time that they need to keep the date open for your wedding.

You should always send out save the date cards when you plan to get married around a busy time of year, like around Christmas or other holidays, to make sure people keep your wedding date open.

You should also send out save the date cards if you’re planning a destination wedding, this will help your guests to plan ahead. Some of them may want to turn your wedding into a vacation of their own. Letting them know the time, date and place ahead of time will help them make the necessary plans.

Save the date cards don’t have to be formal, they don’t even have to be cards, just some type of reminder or notice letting friends and family know when and where your wedding will take place.

Tuesday Delight: JC & Derrick Wedding Announcement and Weight Loss

I edited the photo with that ’soft effect’ using Picnik. I heart picnik. It’s such a cool site!

Anyhoo, as I mentioned in my previous post regarding my wedding goal: to lose weight. I am like a blushing bride intent on losing all the unwanted flabs off her bod. It’s worth the sacrifice to be able to fit into my size small-to-medium clothes again! Ugh!

I’ve joined the local women’s gym near my place of work and hopefully this will help me lose the unwanted flab!

Oh, and I’m going to be in Vancouver in late September for the wedding so any readers out there who want to meet up, I’m game!
